Winter in Mayrhofen

There’s no doubt about it: skiing and snowboarding are right at the top of the to-do list for a winter holiday. Our mountain world, ‘Mountopolis’, offers the perfect setting for this: family-friendly runs and a magnificent panoramic view of the sun on the Ahorn, challenging runs and action in the snow park on the Penken. And in between: après-ski at its very best – both on the mountain and in the valley.

The best bit is this: your apartment is the ideal ‘base camp’ for all activities. Pack your skis and snowboards, and in four minutes you’ll be at the Penkenbahn valley station – ready for an adventure on the mountain. It’s about a seven-minute walk to the Ahornbahn. Alternatively, you can use the free ski bus, which will take you straight to the valley station. By the way: the run down the Ahorn is a real experience – you shouldn’t miss it!

But Mayrhofen has more to offer. Magnificent winter walks, tobogganing, ice skating, ski touring and snowshoeing are wonderful ways to discover the winter wonderland away from the slopes.
